Cashiers' climate is also very inviting.There are four distincted seasons here in the mountains. Winter has cold tempertatures and may experience some snow but winter days can be mild allow for outdoor activities. The spring months bring viberant colors to the mountains. Summer has warm days yet not unbareable heat. But, when autumn comes the mountains are painting with all different shandes of fall. Cashiers is truelly a great place to be during all the seasons.
Cashiers is located approximately 1.5 hours drive from Ashville and only
3 hours from Atlanta.
Cashiers has a year-round population of 1,259. But, despite its small size there are plenty of things to do.
If you enjoy golfing Cashiers is the place for you with golf clubs designed by masters such as: Arnold Palmer, George Cobb, and Donald Ross. There are approximately 40 miles of gold fairway within a 25 minute drive. Including Wade Hampton Golf Club which is one of the highest ranked mountain golf courses in the world.
The outdoors also offer their own activities. Hiking trails and mountain bike trails are abundant. Also, fishing on Lake Glenville or in a nearby river are options of outdoor entertainment. The Nantahala and Ocoee Rivers are a short drive away and provide white water fun (including guided tours). Wildlife is also abundant. You can see all types of birds and animals in our mountains.
If shopping is more your cup of tea there are local shops with everything from local artisans crafts and music to fine clothing.
It is your choice. You can indulge in the activities or do nothing but enjoy the view.
There are also a number of resturants to choose from for a night out on the town.
